Despite boardroom problems and various rumours of an imminent takeover, Evesham is still adding new models to its range – the latest of which is the Zieo NX600-HD notebook.

By HD, it means the notebook includes a 17-inch WUXGA HD screen, NVIDIA’s GeForce 8700M GT graphics with PureVideo HD Technology and Intel High Definition Audio support. It doesn’t pack a HD DVD or Blu-ray drive – just a dual-layer DVD-RW drive.

Other features include Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 technology, 2GB DDR II RAM, 120GB HDD, wireless Mini PCIe 802.11agn (54Mbps) LAN, built-in 1.3 megapixel camera, built-in Media Card Reader and Vista Home Premium. It retails for £1,399 – or you can upgrade to the Intel Core 2 Duo T7700 processor and 160GB HDD for a further £200.
