london-wifi.jpgLarge scale Wi-Fi network specialist MeshHopper has opened up its London “Thames Online” network to BT Openzone users.

A huge chunk of the central London Thames area, from Millbank down to Greenwich, now has Wi-Fi access for anyone registered with BT Openzone or any of the service’s online partners. This opens up access to the biggest wireless network in London – a whopping five square miles of connected space.

Nigel Wesley, chief executive officer, MeshHopper said: “We are delighted that more people will now be able to enjoy their online experience right along this stretch of the Thames in the centre of the capital.”

Although if you’re just sitting on a wall somewhere changing your Facebook profile to “is in London” perhaps you’re not really getting the most out of your time in the capital.
