Benk? Or Benk-you? Perhaps it’s even meant to be pronounced in a French way, making it something like Bon-kay?

The world’s most dangerous-to-pronounce electronics firm has announced two new cameras – the C740i and the C820. The 740i is going for the aspirational semi-pro snappers who want a little more control but aren’t brave enough for an SLR – it gives you shutter and aperture control, plus an ISO of 1600 for low light situations. You know, taking photos of yourself at home for Facebook.

The 820’s more lifestyle, coming with widescreen pic ratios and PictBridge support for easy printing of your slightly blurry landscapes.

Both have a 2.5″ screen, 3x optical zoom, and take nice and cheap SD cards so you can buy a 4GB one and have enough room for 249,999,000,000 photos at medium resolution.
