mccartney-itunes-store.jpgSorry, that’s SIR Paul McCartney of Frogchorusville, I always forget. Anyway, 350 lucky Macca fans will get up close and personal with their idol, when he plays Apple’s iTunes Festival in London next month.

He’ll be playing on 5th July at the compact ICA venue. Now, here’s the intriguing thing: Apple is recording all the festival’s gigs to sell the live tracks on iTunes. It’s possible Sir Paul will only play stuff off his new album, but if he does play a few Beatles tracks, it could be the first time they’ll be sold on Apple’s digital music store.

At least, the first time they’ll be sold sung by an actual Beatle. You can win tix to see McCartney’s gig via the link below, while other artists playing the festival include Kasabian, Amy Winehouse and Crowded House.
