Nokia N77 TV handset ships – but only for the selected few

Back in February, we previewed what was described as Nokia’s “multimedia handset” – the N77. And now it’s launched – but not in the UK.

It’s initially shipping in Finland, then, rather bizarrely, in India and Vietnam. So what about the UK? Well, as we’re not down with DVB-H digital TV, which is the handset’s big selling point, it’s not really a lot of use. But just for the record, it has that, a 2.4-inch screen, stereo sound and some PVR-like functionality, including reminders, pause, replaying TV clips and an EPG.

And it’s got your usual phone functions, plus an MP3 player, two megapixel camera, web browsing, email access and calendar. Not forgetting S60 3rd Edition software on Symbian OS. If you’re in one of the lucky territories, check with your local operator for price.
