Freecom has launched the Hard Drive Pro, another contender for storing your ever-growing collection of audio and video, with up to 750GB of capacity.

The PC and Mac-friendly drive is also a doddle to set up and use. Depending on your choice of model, hook up with USB 2.0 or Firewire 400/800 and with a touch of a button, you can synchronise your hard drive’s contents with the external drive. Hardware encryption ensures your data remains secure and protected, an aluminium case keeps it protected and a specially-designed cooling system keeps the drive stable. And if there is a problem, it’s covered with a two-year warranty.

Prices start from £139.99 for a USB drive with 500GB of space. The 750GB drives with both USB and Firewire should follow in August/September. Pricing to be confirmed.
