BT Credit Card – with phone and broadband savings

BT has entered the credit card market with the obviously-named BT Credit Card, promising competitive rates and a reward scheme against bills.

Accounts are linked to BT customers’ telephone and broadband accounts, so every time the card is used for a retail purchase, the cardholder will get money off their BT bill automatically. For the first £250 of spend on the card each month, customers will earn one pence for every two pounds of purchases. Above £250 of card purchases per month, customers will earn double the discount on their BT bill: one penny for every additional pound spent. Not exactly huge savings, but money off all the same – up to £75 per year if you work it right.

The BT Credit Card also offers 0 per cent pa on balance transfers for twelve months and 0 per cent pa on card purchases for three months, before reverting to a typical rate of 16.9 per cent APR (variable). And for the fashion conscious, cards are available in a choice of four colours – silver, pink, black and green.
