Sony has added three models to its AV line-up – the STR-DG510, STR-DG710 and STR-DG910.

They are designed to be the hub for any home entertainment system and to be as simple to use as possible, with all three receivers featuring fully automatic set-up to match the sound to the user’s room and speaker layout, using the Digital Cinema Auto Calibration system, first seen in Sony’s ES receiver range.

They also offer one-cable connection between receiver and TV, via HDMI switching. The STR-DG710 and STR-DG910 also offer control of a whole Sony system (DVD player, receiver and TV) using one remote control via Bravia Theatre Sync technology. There’s also the Digital Media Port system, which allows portable music devices and computers to be played through the receiver, as well as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The top-end STR-DG910 adds video upconversion and compatibility with high-definition audio on Blu-ray discs.

The STR-DG510 is available now, the STR-DG710 follows later this month and the STR-DG910 will be available in June.
