First up are the widescreen DVD players, available in 7, 8.5, and 10.2 inch screen sizes. They all feature a full in-car mounting kit, internal power supply unit, two headphone jacks, USB connection, AV in and out, and digital audio output.

The 7-inch model, the PET730, comes in conventional laptop design, offering up to three hours operation from each battery charge.

There’s also an 8-inch PET835 model that also includes a DVB-T digital TV tuner.

The 10-inch PET1030 features a 180 degree swivel screen, and has a five-hour battery life.

Philips’ new DCP line of portable DVD players add iPod functionality.

The 7-inch DCP750 and 8.5-inch DCP850 feature an iPod docking station, remote control, and SD/MMC card reader, and the internal battery gives up to 2.5 hours of playing time.
