It might not offer full-HD resolution, but projectiondesign’s M20 projector does offer 720p and one other thing that the full-HD competition can’t offer – BrilliantColor technology.

What does that mean in real terms? Well, BrilliantColor from Texas Instruments means more colour in the optics – cyan, yellow and magenta added to the usual red, green, blue colour wheel. That means an improvement in colour saturation, shading and smoothness that probably has to be seen to be fully understood.

Other features include a high-end build quality, better than 4000 : 1 true optical contrast, 1000 video-optimised ANSI lumens from a 220w UHP lamp, HDMI-compatible, very quiet operation (-24dB), easy set-up and easy mount and a very small footprint. And it’s housed in a magnesium cabinet in a choice of Vanquish Grey, Pearl White or Maranello Blue finish.

And as a premium product, it does have a premium price – it retails for £3,500.
