Parrot has launched the MK6100 musikit – a hands-free car kit with the ability to play MP3 files on your car’s speakers from any Bluetooth/A2DP source and featuring a removable OLED screen.

Features include a wireless RF remote control that you can position wherever you want (directly on the wheel, on the dashboard etc) which gives you easy access to the kit’s functions whilst keeping your hands on the wheel. Once paired, your Bluetooth mobile or MP3 player will connect automatically. Press “play” to start reading the MP3s and use the digital Class-D 30W amplifier to create a “virtual concert hall”.

In addition to audio streaming, the new MK6100 features noise reduction technology for improved voice quality whilst phoning, and a ‘text-to-speech’ (TTS) function that will use vocal synthesis to read the phone book listings to you.

The Parrot MK6100 will be available worldwide later this year, priced around 199 Euros (around £136).
