Doggysnaps – social networking for your dog

Social networking is big business right now – and that includes dogs, courtesy of Doggysnaps.

It’s an online photo-sharing site for canine enthusiasts all over the world, stuffed with dog photos, forums and blogs. All by the owners obviously – if there’s such a thing as a blogging dog, I’ll have 10. It’s run by leading animal welfare charity Dog’s Trust, membership is free and since its initial launch in September 2006, it’s picked up over 12,000 users. Because let’s be honest – everyone likes to show off their dog.

As well as the photos and blogs, you can chat online to other owners, give out “virtual” treats and if the worst happens, pay tribute to your dog in the In Loving Memory section.

Adrian Burder, Dogs Trust Marketing Director, commented: “The website is a unique online forum allowing our global members to interact and network with each other, share advice and meet like-minded individuals. doggysnaps.com allows our online community to participate with the site and each other and also provide user feedback so that the site can constantly evolve around their needs and requirements.”
