Buffalo launches LinkTheater wireless media player

Buffalo has announced the launch of the LinkTheater wireless media player, which wirelessly streams your multimedia content around the house.

It’s designed to work with Intel Viiv technology and is powered by Mediabolic’s Media Player software. Its TV-based interface lets you browse your music, photo and video files, as well as access a range of internet-driven applications via a remote control.

Other features include support for 802.11a/b/g wireless networking, AOSS (AirStation One-Touch Secure System) push-button wireless installation, a wide range of audio, image and video format support, USB 2.0 connectivity and composite, S-video and scart video outputs .

The LinkTheater media player will be available in the coming weeks, priced at £128 plus VAT.
