Another wire-free gadget for your home, this time from Parrot with the Boombox – a speaker for your portable gadgets.

The 60 watt speaker measures 430 mm x 150 mm x 225 mm and uses Bluetooth for streaming music from any compatible music source – including mobile phones, MP3-players and PCs – which means one less cable around the house.

It also accepts non-Bluetooth sources if used with a USB dongle and analogue audio devices via the auxiliary connection. Other features include a bass-reflex audio system, three drivers (two wideband, one woofer), a frequency range of 80 Hz to 20 kHz and a built-in MP3 and SBC decoder.

Expect to see it in the coming weeks, priced around £150.
