M-Audio KeyRig 49 USB keyboard

M-Audio showed off their 49-note KeyRig 49 USB keyboard at NAMM 2007.

Plug-and-play installable for both Windows XP and Mac OS X, this 49-note, synth action keyboard features an assignable modulation wheel, pitch bend wheel, volume slider, assignable octave +/- buttons, an edit mode button, sustain pedal input, and takes all its power from the USB hub.

The keys are velocity sensitive, and the keyboard can be used in split and layer modes.

It comes with the award-winning M-Audio Key Rig software (PC only) that features 4 virutal sound modules: SP-1 Stage Piano, MS-2 Polyphonic Synthesizer, MB-3 Tone Wheel Organ and GM-4 General MIDI.

It also comes with Ableton Live Lite that can be used on either platform.

With a US price of $129.95, it’s a cost-effective way into the world of hi-tech music making.
