Hampshire villages get broadband… at last

After years of campaigning, four villages north of Andover in the fine county of Hampshire have finally been connected up to a broadband service. Apparently they were the last places in Hampshire not to have a broadband service.

BT and Hampshire County Council agreed to the service last summer, and the local exchange is now broadband enabled.

Wildhern, Tangley, Hatherden and Charlton Down are now technologically up-to-date with high speed broadband from BT.

Original plans to supply wireless broadband hit technical difficulties. BT were chosen as the best value for money service.
