As well as their new portable DVD players, Philips have today announced some multi-functional portable media players that’ll play DVDs, downloads and files from your iPod. The new DCP portable media players come with video iPod docks along with DVD players and memory card readers, making them some of the most versatile portable media players around, supporting everything from standard DVD format to DivX downloads and MP4s.

The swivel screens come in 7″ and 8.5″ sizes depending on the model and display your vids in widescreen format with a battery life of up to 2.5 hours (so you can watch anything except King Kong). As an added extra, once you’ve docked your iPod, it’ll charge while you’re watching your videos. All this is yours for $149 for the smaller DCP750 or $199 for the DCP850, coming in Spring.
