BladeRunner%20IV.jpgIf you’re going to have an RC copter, it may as well be bright yellow. At least your cat will see it coming and have a fighting chance of getting out of the way. See, it’s an indoor helicopter, which is a new idea to me, at least.

The Blade Runner 4 is the work of Interactive Toy Concepts, and is due out this Summer in the US at a $99.99 price point. It can go forwards, back and move left and right, but can also do proper side-to-side full-body rolls, which is apparently something real copters can do.

ITC says it’s the most durable RC copter they’ve ever made, with a range of over 10 metres to boot. There’s a novice mode for when you first get it and are paranoid about breaking things, and a fully-fledged 3D control mode for when you get too excited and forget about trying to protect your home decorations.

If it comes to Europe by the end of the year, it could be an essential item for many blokes’ Christmas stockings. Although admittedly they’d have to be very strangely shaped stockings…
