Over at Shiny’s Nintendo Wii blog, Wii Wii, there’s news of the imminent arrival of web browsing for the console in Europe.

A trial version of the Opera web browser for Wii will be available to download from this Friday, December 22nd. It will activate the Internet channel on the Wii home page, so you can browse away and annoy the rest of the family (who would probably prefer to be watching the Little Britain Christmas Special).

It’s ony a trial version, a full version will follow later next year. To find out more on this and indeed much more on all things Nintendo Wii, head over to Wii Wii now.
