Parrot has unveiled the MK6000, which it claims is the first hands-free mobile phone car kit with streaming audio.

The MK6000 sits on your dashboard. To operate, start your car, pair your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or other MP3 device with the MK6000 and your music can be heard over your car’s stereo system. In addition to audio streaming, the new MK6000 features two other innovations – ‘beamforming’ technology for improved voice quality while phoning and a text-to-speech synthesis function that will read the phone book listings to you.

The MK6000 has a one-button user interface that controls all the music functions such as play, fast forward, and track selection. The unit also allows you to to make calls, take calls and check voicemail without touching your mobile phone, as well as muting the music when a call is made or received.

The MK6000 will be available in the UK from early 2007, priced at £124.99
