Vonage obviously thinks small is the way to go if you want to win a big chunk of the VoIP market, launching the V-Phone, described as the world’s smallest phone and most portable telephone landline.

All packed into a USB device no larger than a pack of chewing gum, the Vonage V-Phone comes with the Vonage Talk software pre-loaded (so no need for an install) and as the phone has no battery, there’s no need to worry about charging it. The device’s 250MB flash drive also stores all user contacts and call records. You can also check your voicemail from any computer with high speed net access and send voicemail attachments directly to any email account.

It comes with a standard 2.5 mm stereo earpiece microphone and retails for £19.99, with the cost of a call plan to be added on top. Not that this only Windows-friendly – no support for Mac or Linux.
