Apparently, it’s Energy Saving Week – nice idea, but shouldn’t this be every week? Fujitsu Siemens is doing their bit, launching the Esprimo Q5000 mini PC, the smallest PC in its range of energy-efficient Esprimos.

The Q5000 weighs 2kg and measures 5 x 16.5 x 16.5cm, but still manages to pack in the technology, including an Intel Core Dup processor, 1024MB memory, 80GB storage, a multiformat DVD writer with dual layer support, Bluetooth and wireless connectivity. Fujitsu Siemens claims this is also a more “green” PC – using environmentally conscious materials, resource-saving production techniques and low power consumption.

The Esprimo Q5000, along with the Scaleoview S20 widescreen monitor and a fitting keyboard and mouse, is available now, with prices starting at around £429 (ex VAT).
