Roxio has launched Easy Media Creator 9, their latest suite of CD and DVD authoring, burning, photo, video and music applications, along with Blu-ray disc recording for the first time.

New features include support for portable devices, including iPod and PSP, as well as Windows-based media players such as Samsung’s Yepp, audio players, and mobile phones – editing and organising your media files before transferring to your portable player or transferring files from your portable to the PC. Blu-ray support means you record to both single and dual layer BD discs with a simple drag and drop (presuming you have a Blu-ray drive fitted).

And for you music buffs, an Audio Capture Widget lets you record any audio playing on your computer, such as internet radio shows. It also has a Pre-Roll feature that can automatically record and store audio even before the record button is selected – which means you never miss a moment.Acting like a Personal Video Recorder for audio entertainment, the Pre-Roll feature ensures users never miss a moment. There’s also the usual array of video editing tools and DVD creation tools for all you budding movie directors.

Easy Media Creator 9 will be available in September for around £60. Existing owners may be eligible for a discounted upgrade.
