A stylish and environmentally aware product that will cover and keep your iPod, Solio or notebook computer safe, TREAD is a new line of cases made from reengineered Colombian truck tyres. They’re handcrafted and each is unique. As they’re made from rubber tyres with nylon stitching, they’re durable and waterproof.

The iPod nano case pictured has synthetic nubuck lining, a flap that can become a stand for your iPod nano, and comes in blue, black, red and fuchscia. Cases are also available for the 3G iPods, and 15 inch Mac notebooks.

Lorenzo Falzarano, Director of Environmental Strategy for Better Energy Systems commented: "Better Energy Systems is all about developing environmentally aware products, whether that be developing products to help preserve our environment or recycling products that are at the end of their lifecycle. TREAD is a great example to show that you can make durable and stylish products from what’s lying around and therefore help to preserve the environment by giving redundant resources a new lease of life – the journey never ends.”

The TREAD range is available now, with prices starting from £9.99.
