In addition to the FinePix S6500fd, Fujifilm has announced the launch of the FinePix F20 – a slimline 6.3mp camera that’s ideal for slipping into your pocket for a night out.

Similar to the FinePix F30, this new model is smaller, but still features the same 6mp Super CCD HR sensor and Real Photo Processor II technology as its bigger brother. The Real Photo technology means ISO sensitivity of 1600 and above at full resolution – which means clear images even in low light and without the use of flash. It also features Fujifilm’s Intelligent Flash system, automatically setting the power output of the flash to produce balanced images, rather than light-saturated pictures. In addition, the ‘Natural Light & Flash’ Dual Shot mode takes two shots in quick succession, one with flash and one without, displaying side by side for comparison.

The camera also features 14 scene positions, an anti-blur button, 3x optical zoom, TV-quality VGA movie recording of 30 frames per second with sound and a 300-shot battery life.

Complete with AC Power adaptor, hand strap, USB and A/V cables, al ithium-ion battery and software CDs, the FinePix F20 should be available from September 2006. The price will be confirmed nearer to launch.
