Apple has launched a new iPod – a new version of the U2 Special Edition, based on the 30GB iPod video.

Technically, there’s nothing new here – but the big selling point is the looks. There’s the red click wheel and a black metal back that’s engraved with the band’s signatures. And if you’re a fan of the band (which I’m guessing you will be if you’re going to buy), the iPod U2 Special Edition also comes with an exclusive iTunes Music Store coupon, that you can redeem for a 30-minute video of music videos and band interviews.

The 30GB of storage should be room enough for 7,500 songs, up to 25,000 photos and up to 75 hours of video. It’s available to order now, priced at £239, slightly more than a standard model.
