Forget your Bluetooth connectivity, here’s something that really does away with the wires for portable listening by using a single device – the Aiwa UZ-PS128 recordable MP3 headphones.

Claimed to be the first of its kind, the Aiwa UZ-PS128 is a set of headphones and an MP3 player and recorder combined into one. An analogue input terminal allows for simultaneous listening and recording from a standard CD player or you can transfer files from your PC via USB cable to the built-in 128MB of flash memory.

The UZ-PS128 supports MP3, WMA, AAC, ASF formats for playback and features an MP3 digital sound enhancer for a more powerful bass and clearer overall sound. It operates off just one AAA battery, which offers around 11 hours of playback.

Not the most advanced MP3 player you’ll find on the market, but certainly worth a look if you want to cut down the clutter. It’s available now for around £90.
