Nimzy Vibro Blaster turns flat surface into speaker

Described as no bigger than a tub of Vaseline (perhaps a little unfortunate for something that’s called the Nimzy Vibro Blaster), this is the latest gadget for turning any flat surface – wood, plastic, glass etc. – into a loudspeaker.

The technology, which works by transforming sonic signals into sonic mechanical vibratons, has always fascinated us here at Tech Digest towers. But having said that I don’t actually know anyone who actually uses this type of product to listen to music.

I suspect it’s that the quality of the products has always been a bit ropey. Sadly we
don’t know if this one is any better yet, but the press release does
say it’s much smaller than other models on the market which can’t be any bad thing. It costs £69.99 and is available from Widget.
