Denon TU-1500AE RDS-FM/AM radio tuner

We seem to spend all our time talking about DAB, but forget about poor old FM. Which is probably wrong as not everyone can get a DAB signal (as I found out during a break in North Wales last year) and not every station has jumped ship to DAB as yet. If you’re still in the land of old-style radio, it might be worth giving Denon’s TU-1500AE RDS-FM/AM radio tuner a look.

Designed to match Denon’s latest Advanced Evolution Hi-fi, the 1500AE replaces the classic TU-260II tuner, adding better sound, greater sensitivity, a better display, a full remote control and sleeker styling – but without bumping up the price.

The 1500 obviously offers Denon’s high build quality, along with highly-refined FM/AM and audio circuitry. There’s a two line dot-matrix display showing all Station and RDS info, a display dimmer function on front panel and remote, 100 presets for FM/AM stations, plus last function memory and back-up memory.

You can pick it up for around £130.
