iPod sound in the round
Offering a nice bit of symmetry with your Airport base station, the IXOS XMI518 Round Sound stereo system is worth a look if you just want a basic sound system for your iPod that doesn’t cost the earth.
The four speaker Round Sound system doesn’t make any big claims about its hi-fi quality or big booming bass, it simply offers 8 watts of total output, an electronic volume control on the front panel and the ability to charge your iPod whether it’s playing music or not. The dock accomodates the iPod Mini, iPod 15/20Gb, iPod 30/40Gb, the nano or the 5G Video. A 3.5mm stereo jack input means you can use other portable players.
