Push to talk, the system which lets mobile phone users chat away walkie talkie style, was big news last summer. However only one network, Orange, launched a service and that turned out to be a fairly low key roll out. Well it appears that Orange is ramping up its Talk Now, PTT service by extending its list of PTT handsets by offering the Sagem my-C5-2T and LG 2250T (the original service used the Treo 600), and is rolling out Talk Now to its pay-as you go customers. Users are given a three month free trial, after which they pay 20p a session (which can last up to thirty minutes). We’ll be having a play soon, so watch this space for more.
