With news of Sony‘s recent string of lawsuits surrounding the PSP still ringing in out ears, it looks like a lucky Cambridge graduate is the first in the UK to be prosecuted for chipping microsoft Xboxes and selling. Yup, apparently under a handy bit of EU legislation titled the EU copyright directive, it’s illegal to try and circumvent copy protection systems. OK, so the guy was reselling Xboxes with refitted hard drives with over 80 games on them, but still, does this mean that we can expect to see a clamp down on modding soon?
