T+A releases valve based SACD/CD player

Wow, another example of what claims to be a technological innovation sounding mind bendingly cool. T+A has launched a high-end Audio CD/CD player, with a new feature, a valve-based output and filter stage, that T+A claim delivers sound quality that equals the best vinyl turntables in the world. The pre-amp stage features 12AX7 double triodes, and the output stage features ECC 99 double triodes. These glowing glass bottle like objects apparently give the player sound quality which is free of digital ‘glare’. The device uses a Double Mono Quadruple DAC (digital to analogue converter) arrangement for decoding CDs, using 4 x 24-bit/384kHz Sigma/Delta Burr-Brown devices.

Whoa, what a mouthful. It also looks very nice and shiny. The device is available for a mere £4599 from your nearest T&A retailer.
