Sony wars with UK PSP import retailers

As you might have heard, Sony isn’t too keen to let people get their hands on a PSP in Europe, yet. Recently Sony sent off cease and desist orders to UK PSP import suppliers, including gadget site Firebox, as reported earlier. However, retailer Electricbirdland (nope, I’ve never heard of them either) is  refusing to back down, pointing out that Sony hasn’t trademarked the PSP brand name in the UK and accused Sony of bullying tactics. Sony representatives have responded by promising to defend Sony’s intellectual property rights. Be interesting to see how this one develops.
