Set up your own TV channel

Very interesting feature in The Guardian (sadly it isn’t online yet) about broadband TV. It reports that a company called Narrowstep is hoping to position itself as the ‘eBay of personal broadcasting’ by offering ordinary punters the chance to set up their own web-based TV channels. Via their ISP or a web portal consumers will upload their own home videos, create a look and feel for the channel, develop their own schedules and broadcast to the broadband world.

The vehicle for this massive growth in video has to be mobile phone for never before has there been so many people carrying devices that can capture video. All we need now is for networks to offer fast and cheap uploads of videos to websites and video blogging/video podcasting and personal TV will all be possible.
