microsoft taking one for the team?

As recently reported, microsoft has set itself the target of $300 for the next-gen console Xbox 360. However, industry analysts are suggesting that the real cost of all its high-tech innards will actually set the company back around $375 per unit. Imagine then that as you buy your beloved 360, Bill Gates will be peeling fifties from his wallet to fund your gaming habit. Awww, how nice. Doubtless this money will be swiftly returned to said wallet as microsoft rakes in the millions generated by even more Halo titles although there have also been reports that microsoft might have lost quite a considerable sum in its bitter battle against Sony.
