Google gets personal

In response to growing threats from both microsoft and Yahoo, Google will be upping the ante later today with the launch of its new service. Google users will soon be able personalise their search page with a range of extra services such as movie information, weather reports, stock market information, quotes of the day and more. By far the most useful function is the ability to have your latest Gmail messages shown beneath the search bar.
Although you can already start customising your very own Google search page from the following link it seems that the service is still slightly in the test phase and that we can look forward to further improvements in the future such as area specific (i.e. the UK) search pages.
