LG has unveiled the new LP1 series of premium TVs; these flagship tellys have a stylish design and the technology inside to match it. Traditionally, LCD screens have suffered from narrow viewable angles; LG’s S-IPS module combats this enabling a massive 178-degree horizontal and vertical viewing field making these TVs more suitable to the conventional sitting room layout, where all the seats aren’t squeezed together in front of the box.

Like the 42PX4RV Plasma screen, the LP1 series are all equipped with the new XD chip technology which converts analogue signals to high definition quality and improves edge quality and reduces noise. These LCDs also have an incorporated set-top box designed to receive digital broadcasts and a card reader so that you can listen to MP3 format audio or view photos from 9 supported memory types. These also feature AVL (Automatic Volume Level) and SRS TruSurround, which provides consistent and live realistic surround sound without any additional theater system.

The LP1 series of LCD TVs will be available in 42″ 37″ and 32″ and more exciting is the news that next year LG will be introducing a giant 55" model, set to be the world’s largest mass-produced LCD TV.
