It’s been one of the more feverishly anticipated products, and sure enough here it is: the Mac Mini. Apple finally has a Mac that any old joe can afford, which should presumably make it more appealing to those thinking of making the change from microsoft. There’s a slot loading combo drive, DVI and VGA Out, Ethernet, USB 2.0 and Firewire. The first one out will have 40GB hard drive and a 1.25GHz G4 processor and will cost $499. Later this month (in the US at least) a faster version will be available for $599. Display, keyboard and mouse won’t be included, but it comes with Panther and iLife.
