Is the tablet back?

We aren’t entirely sure what to make of the PMG (Portable Multimedia Gadget) a new device from Singapore based Tronic. Is it a PDA, tablet PC or a multimedia device? Or maybe all three?

It runs Windows XP, sports a 8.4inch display and, as there’s no proper keyboard, is operated by a pen based interface or an onscreen virtual keyboard.

On board are the usual AV features; Wi-Fi, GPRS/3G via PCMCIA card slot and Bluetooth.

Users can specify what type of hard disk the PMG includes (20-80 Gigabytes) and also how much memory they require.

It goes on sale in January in the US at around $1100. No news yet on a European launch.
