Abrocour, a company specialising in kitting out wireless homes, is giving away 50,000 home entertainment systems, comprising Elonex MediaCenter PC and a whopping 32inch LCD screen.

The catch? The Media Center PCs will only be given away to property developers and building firms who sign up to the company’s Openhome solution. Openhome provides a broadband Internet connection (via BT ADSL), wireless home network and wireless BT home monitoring system to home owners.

Importantly Abrocour, which is working with BT, Elonex, HP, Intel and microsoft, will install the wireless system for home owners and provide back-up for them when the systems crash. The latest MediaCenter giveaway was announced at the Ideal Home Show in London where Abrocour was providing technology for a Linda Barker designed show home.

Openhome has already been adopted by several leading property developers, beginning with Berkeley Homes at its Chelsea Bridge Wharf development.
