Sneaking out under the radar from Sony is this three-in-one VHS/DVD recorder, which saves a bit of space and cabling by allowing you to transfer VHS recordings to DVD with a touch of a button.

Other features of this (so far) unnamed device include an 80GB hard drive, EPG, 720p/1080i upscaling through an HDMI output, simultaneous recording and playback of shows and a wide range of compatible disc formats to use in it.

It’s listed online at one US website for $399.95, which is around £200. And it ships from 1st August.
