Duncan Geere Cameras, Previews, Video Reviews Leave a Comment

Yesterday, Dan got to check out Canon’s PowerShot range of cameras in person in Soho. You can see his thoughts in the video above – the conclusion of which is basically “they’re alright”. His favourite was the SX200 thanks to the decent zoom, wide angle lens and fully manual operation.

At the same event, Susi got her hands on Canon’s IXUS range. I’ll have that video up momentarily.

After months of secrecy, we finally have confirmation about the new LG Black Label series handset, and whaddya know, it’s called ‘Secret’, or the KF750 to you and I.

Believe it or not, this handset wasn’t exactly secret, as we first heard of the KF750 back in March, along with the specs! Still, it’s bound to follow the success of other Black Label series phones, the Chocolate and Shine, with a carbon fibre profile of just 11.8mm, a camera with 5.0-megapixel sensor, and can take video at 120fps, with DivX certified recording. In addition to the numerous DVD players, camcorders and laptops Toshiba has launched, they also updated their C series of LCD TVs, and renamed it CV.

Comprising of 32″, 37″ and 42″ models, they don’t quite have the 1080p resolution the industry bandies around as being the be all and end all, with these TVs being aimed at upgraders who’ve discarded their CRTs.

Top five crap Valentine’s Day colourways/products to get your loved loathed one tomorrow

This happens but once a year, where companies feel compelled to spray-paint their products an embarrassing shade of red or pink in the hopes some daft fool will be forced to buy it at 5.42pm on the 14th of February, because Godiva and Charbonnel et Walker have run out of chocolates.

Here’s my top five pick of what not to buy someone for Valentine’s Day tomorrow. Not a single one. No-one. Just don’t do it. Get them some tins of Green Giant niblets instead.

1.) Sony VAIO CR notebook -
an expensive present for your loved one, this red-painted laptop will set you back $1,000, however you can be safe in the knowledge your partner will slap you for insulting him/her with a red matching cover and heart-shaped key chain. What? You think they actually like Sony VAIOs?!

I may’ve been slightly critical of Sony Vaios in the past, but these new Series T notebooks may be enough to make me change my mind. I’m such a sucker for graphic covers on products.

With a couple of updates, the series now has a 1.2GHz Core 2 Duo U7600 processor and 2GB of RAM.

Sony’s updated a couple…
