Radiohead "pay what you want" numbers released

Ever since Radiohead’s revolutionary “pay what you want” experiment on their most recent album, “In Rainbows”, the band has steadfastly refused to release any figures on how successful it was.

This led some to conclude that it was a massive flop with millions paying nothing. However, the band’s publisher, Warner-Chapell, has just released figures proving doubters wrong. Across all mediums, physical and download, the band sold three million albums. Considering their previous three albums sold in the low hundreds of thousands, that’s not too bad…

Well, apart from the fact it costs £129.99 and you’d be lucky to get £100 on eBay for your used PSP, even if you throw in ten games.

So what’s going to encourage you to upgrade? Could it be the fact that it’s 33% lighter and 19% smaller? That it’s now made in Piano Black plastic instead of the heavier metal previously seen? That there’s additional RAM (faster loading times, zomg!), but apart from that…

Palm announce new Treo 500v with Windows Mobile 6

The Treo 500v has packed 3G/UMTS mobile internet plus that lovely, if clunky, Windows Mobile 6 OS into the handset, plus the usual full qwerty keyboard, large screen and video streaming capabilities. I’m already imagining catching Trisha on one during my lunch-break…
