For some odd reason, everyone at Take 2 and Rockstar Games has been busy pretending that GTA IV on PC was a big secret, even though it was always obviously going to happen.

Well, it’s happening, and it’s official now, so we can all stop pretending to wonder if it’s going to happen – GTA IV will hit PC on November 21. The Americans will get it two days earlier, on November 18. By November 22…

Don't buy a PlayStation3 just yet – GTA IV bundle coming on April 29

gta-iv_ps3-bundle-europe.jpg

Is GTA IV the game that could shift PS3 out of its current sales and perceptual malaise? The little bundle pictured there appeared on European retailers yesterday, and could well help Sony get its PlayStation business back on track.

Sadly it’s only the 40GB model, and there’s an old-fashioned SIXAXIS in the box rather than a new DualShock3, but that’s just your standard example of how badly Sony got things with PS3. With a copy of GTA IV in the box…

Grand Theft Auto IV – coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 on April 29

xbox-360-grand-theft-auto-april-29.jpgFinally, the game the world has been waiting for has an official release date – GTA IV will arrive on April 29, and it’s such an important game it’s getting a simultaneous worldwide release.

Coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, it was thought for a few worrying months that GTA IV might end up getting re-delayed back to the autumn, after it missed its Autumn 2007 original launch and was sent back to Spring 2008…

A couple of bloggers have managed to get copies of the game from Argos, buy using the catalogue shower curtain flogger’s web site to reserve a copy – then choosing the “pick up at local branch” option…

Finally, iPhone US launch date announced: Friday 29th June

Those who haven’t been attending the iPhone pre-launch party (and why not? Don’t tell me you don’t care) may not be aware quite how many rumours have been surrounding the date that Apple’s first smartphone will launch in the US.

While Apple rumours are nothing unusual, iPhone hype has been so strong that it seems as if every day in June has had a believable reason attached for Apple dropping the iPhone into AT&T stores.

Admittedly, journalist’s cousins overhearing junior AT&T staff talking about a release date isn’t hugely confidence building, but it hasn’t stopped the stories being published.

Anyway, this is just a long-winded way of reiterating what the title of this article has already made perfectly clear: Apple has officially announced the day that the iPhone will be available to buy in the States.

Friday 29th June.
