Check out this ridiculous little thing. It looks like a USB hub or some sort of budget-brand router you might buy off eBay for £7.99. But no – it’s the CherryPal. It is a proper PC.

Inside the minuscule case there’s a Freescale 5121E processor with integrated graphics powers, accompanied by 256MB of main memory and a 4GB flash drive – CherryPal users are expected to store files online. This frugal little lot helps the little CherryPal to bravely run using only a frankly stunning 2Watts of energy…

Portable round DVD player and Simon separated at birth?

This black portable round DVD player is reminiscent of that childhood classic electronic memory game, Simon, but in fact it has a 3.5-inch TFT screen, DVD and MP3 playback, SD card reader, and video and audio outputs for connecting up to other equipment.

I’m not sure if the manufacturers made the unit round so that it seemed bigger, when really they should’ve invested a bit more money and made a rectangular one with a bigger screen. Who knows?…

Bird-Electron cement their position as industry leaders: EZISON 0 portable speaker

Bird-Electron have announced some wonderful new technology. The EZION 0 is an aluminum portable speaker which looks like a London Underground Tannoy box. Despite being 6 x 6 x 3 cm, it weighs 180 grams. There is no volume control, just a ‘Hi’ and ‘Lo’ switch. It’ll draw power from your music player, thereby reducing the battery life. The retail price is $73/£35. Demand is rumoured to be high, please put in your orders early to avoid disappointment.
