Dashcam company Thinkware has received the 2017 Innovation Award in the car audio/video category at CES2017 show for its latest dashcam, the F800 Air.

Incorporating an Emergency Alert feature, the dashcam sends location and status information via text message to your pre-selected emergency contacts when the system detects a crash, rollover or the SOS button is activated.

Also included in the design is a Parking Incident Notification  function, which sends real time alerts if your vehicle is hit while parked, even subtle impacts such as door prangs.

With Thinkware’s LBS (Location Base Service) technology, all drivers will also soon benefit from Geo Fencing – an alert system which informs you if your vehicle enters or leaves a designated area – while the Driving Report Service will enable driving patterns to be analysed to support safe driving.

Featuring a slim aluminium frame design, the F800 is currently in its final stage of development and is scheduled for a global launch this June.
