Sengled, a manufacturer of innovative smart lighting solutions for the smart home, has announced a new product at IFA in Berlin. The Sengled Element is an LED light that be controlled remotely using the dedicated app.

It operates using the ZigBee standard, making it possible to program important lighting functions. In addition, users can also monitor all energy values and access their smart home from anywhere in the world. Remotely controllable with the ZigBee standard, the LED lights can be integrated into the WLAN network of the home: simply connect, log in using the app and have full control of all lighting, whether at home or on the move via the cloud.

The Sengled Element LED lights allow users to dim the brightness level and set the colour temperature from warm to cool white, all through the central smart home control or the app.

Lighting scenarios such as a sunrise or sunset can also be programmed easily and saved. In addition, the app will display energy statistics allowing users to see an overview of all the consumption data and savings within the home at any time.

Element is also available with the Sengled Element Gateway, which serves as the hub in the home WLAN network. The gateway also features a WiFi repeater to help the strength/range of the signal and makes it possible to control lights conveniently from the mobile device using the app.

Available from November 2015, the recommended retail price is £29.99. A set including two Sengled Element LEDs and the Gateway will also be available with an RRP of £74.99.
