Sony starts rolling out Android Lollipop for Sony Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact

Sony has today announced that the long awaited software upgrade to Android Lollipop is rolling out from today – hurrah!
According to the press release, the first Xperia Z devices to get the update will be those in the Nordics and the Baltics – with further markets (including hopefully the UK) joining in two weeks time.
The reason for this one last delay is presumably because it gives Sony a smaller pool of ‘test’ users in smaller countries – so that it can work out any last minute bugs, and avoid pushing out a dodgy software update to many thousands more people than necessary.
Apparently every “Xperia Z” phone will eventually be getting a Lollipop update – we’ll keep you posted on any further developments.
