Just in time for Christmas, OnePlus has started selling its much sought-after phone, the OnePlus One without the need for an invite to do so.

The Chinese company claims that the all orders should arrive in time for Christmas too – which means you can conceivably pick up an impressively high-spec phone for only £229. The phone is technically on a par with some of the top range Androids: boasting a quadcore 2.5ghz processor, 3GB of RAM, a 13MP rear camera (and 5MP front-facing camera), as well as a full-HD 5.5″ display.

The reason it is so cheap compared to the likes of the Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8 is because OnePlus don’t sell the phone anywhere but online – cutting costs that way – and also because rather than run official Google-fied Android, it runs the open source “CyanogenMod” version.

Supplies seem to be limited, so better step on it if you want one.
